PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS 2008

I have been trying to write a few notes for my Presidential address that are different from the usual.

2008 will always be a year I will remember. One of the highlights will be serving you as your President; on the downside when the season has started I will have turned fifty! I hope to come to visit many of you during the season; it may be that you are playing for new in one of the Representative matches, or on another occasion.

Finally I wish you all the best for the season and hope the weather is better than in 2007.

Your President

Stephen

PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS 2007

Thank you for electing me as your President for 2007, this is a great honour and privilege and I will endeavour to maintain the high standards of my predecessors, and I especially thank Lyn for leading us so well in 2006.

With the help and backing of my club Melbourn, I am looking forward to a great season of Bowls with no problems. I have visited and played at all but three of our League clubs, so I will make sure that I will call on these, during the season.

Unfortunately, we must say goodbye to Bottisham but welcome a third team from Cottenham. If any club would wish me to visit them for a particular reason, I will do my best to be there.

Good health, good luck and Happy Bowling.

Mick Kernaghan.

PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS 2006

Another outdoor season has arrived and hopefully the weather will be kind to us.

I feel very honoured to be your President and hope that I can keep up the very high standard set up by my predecessors, with the support of Trumpington Bowls Club and my husband Tony.

I am hoping to visit as many clubs as possible, during the season and to meet up with many old friends.

I would like to welcome Fenstanton into our league and to wish them well.

May I wish Chesterton Bowls Club a very enjoyable season in this, their 75th year.

Best wishes to you all

Lyn Saunders

PRESIDENT’S ADDRESS 2005

We are in for a very hot summer and the best bowls for a year or two.

I feel very privileged and honoured to be your President and hope that I can keep up the very high standard set up by my predecessor.

During the season ahead, I hope that I can meet up with new and old acquaintances.
With the support of my club, Comberton, and friends, I hope to visit a number of clubs during my year as President. If any club requires a special visit, please contact me and I will do my best to carry out that request.

I wish each and everyone of you good bowling and good weather, but most of all, good sportsmanship. Have a good season and enjoy every bowl that you deliver

Best wishes

Vic Purse
